eXp UK
Revenue share,
explained.
Revenue share is a monthly payment eXp makes to you out of its own share of the commission, for the agents you bring to the company and for the agents they bring after them.

Illustration only, not a projection of earnings. Revenue share depends on agent production, retention, the growth of the organisation and eXp's qualifying requirements. Tier percentages and front-line thresholds are set by eXp UK.

The basics
Where the money comes from
On every deal at eXp the agent keeps 70%. eXp takes 20%. The remaining 10% is held as reserve. Revenue share is paid out of eXp's own 20%, and roughly half of what eXp keeps is redistributed to the agents who help the company grow.
It does not come out of anyone's pocket
Revenue share is not a fee, not a split and not a deduction. The agent you sponsored earns exactly what they would have earned without you. eXp pays the people who bring agents in, instead of spending the same money on advertising.
How it is paid
Monthly, for as long as you and the agent both stay active with eXp.
What counts
Revenue share is a share of commission actually invoiced. An agent who has signed and onboarded but has not completed a sale generates nothing, at any tier, however many tiers are open to you.
A front-line agent counts as qualifying while they bank at least £5,000 gross every six months.
How it cascades
The agents you sponsor sit on your tier one. The agents they sponsor sit on your tier two, and so on down to tier seven.
Everyone at eXp has the same opportunity. That is why the people you bring in have their own reason to attract agents, and why your organisation can keep deepening without you doing the recruiting.
Two things worth noticing
Tier two pays more than tier one. A capped agent on your front line is worth up to £1,400 a year. The same agent sitting on tier two is worth up to £1,600. Across all seven tiers a single capped agent is worth up to £8,000 a year, and 10% of all gross commission revenue is paid out as revenue share in total.
Thirty front-line qualifying agents is not a round number. It is the exact point at which tier seven opens, and tier seven is the biggest tier at 2.5%.
There is stock as well. eXp gives the sponsor £320 of EXPI shares every time an agent they attracted completes their first sale, vesting over three years. That sits outside revenue share and is not the subject of this page.
The structure
The seven tiers
Each tier pays a set percentage of the gross commission the agents at that depth invoice, up to their £80,000 cap. Tiers one to three are open to every agent. Tiers four to seven open as your front line grows.
| Tier | % of GCI | Max per agent, per year | Unlocks at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 1.75% | £1,400 | Open |
| Tier 2 | 2.00% | £1,600 | Open |
| Tier 3 | 1.25% | £1,000 | Open |
| Tier 4 | 0.75% | £600 | 5 front-line agents |
| Tier 5 | 0.50% | £400 | 10 front-line agents |
| Tier 6 | 1.25% | £1,000 | 15 front-line agents |
| Tier 7 | 2.50% | £2,000 | 30 front-line agents |
| All seven | 10.00% | £8,000 | 30 front-line agents |
The shape of it
Growth, in three pictures
All three assume every agent hits the £80,000 cap, which is the ceiling rather than the average.
What one capped agent pays you, by tier
Annual revenue share from a single agent invoicing £80,000 of gross commission, at each depth. Solid bars are the tiers open to every agent. Outlined bars open as your front line grows.
What the front-line count is worth
Total annual revenue share as the number of front-line qualifying agents rises. Assumptions: every agent invoices £80,000, and the organisation is built evenly, so every tier from one to seven holds the same number of agents as the front line. The vertical jumps are the moments tiers four, five, six and seven open.
How the tiers sit under you
The agents you sponsor are your tier one. The agents they sponsor are your tier two, and it carries on to seven.
